The period pub offers us a real opportunity for a time slip. Once the public are gone we have the place to ourselves with a pianist belting out from the parlour the atmosphere is second to none.

We had literally thousands of visitors through the Paschaendaele Museum that day. Thirsty work!

John (Old Contemptible) on the right with Drew from Tasmania. You know there is a legend that Aussies can drink? they did well but missed parade the next morning.
We fist met Drew and Kev (from Tasmania) in 2006 they had walked the entire length of the Somme carrying everything with them, with only a ground sheet to sleep on. They had been walking for a month when they finally reached Zonnebeke, a few pounds lighter.
